MONTREAL – McDonald’s restaurants and its franchisees in Quebec raised almost $950,000 on the company’s 21st McHappy Day, and a total of $4.2 million was raised across the country.

McHappy Day is a national fundraising event to support Canadian families and their sick children through local children’s charities across the country, including Ronald McDonald House.

“Each year, McHappy Day owes its huge success to the generosity of our customers and dedication of our franchisees, employees, suppliers and partners,” Rocco Lofano, Regional Vice President, Eastern Region, McDonald’s Canada said in a statement.

“They have once again provided their phenomenal support, and I thank them enormously. Every dollar raised helps us to make a real difference to the lives of children across the country.”
